About Me

Get to know me better

I am a former filmmaker, marketer/retail manager turned passionate user experience designer.

I was born and raised in Rome, Italy. Growing up in a city where, it's a saying, "every wall and

street smells of history", was awesome! It really felt like living in an open-air museum.

I grew up in a neighborhood called Celio, right behind the Colosseum. The park surrounding the

Ludus Magnus, the gym of the roman gladiators, used to be my childhood playground...how cool

is that? Every Sunday morning I would play soccer with my friends and a bunch of tourists at

Circo Massimo, which is an ancient roman chariot racing stadium and mass entertainment venue.

To know that what is ordinary for a Roman could be exceptional for others, constantly fills my

heart with gratitude. I will aways be thankful to my mother who decided to catch a red-eye

flight from Belgium so that she could give birth to her first child (me) in Rome.

Love for the ocean

When I was younger, I lived in Australia for two years. Down Under, I fell in love with surfing and

the ocean. I bought an old surfboard, a wetsuit full of holes, and decided to travel around the world

eager to surf great waves, discover new cultures and make tons of friends. It was hands down the

best time of my life, but it wasn't over yet.

When I came back to Rome, my life went back to normal very quickly, with work, friends, traffic,

people arguing everywhere, but NO ocean. I was miserable.

So, 12 years ago I decided to take a two week surf trip in California, met the love of my life, got married, rescued two cats and never looked back.
